“I have been working with gemstones since 2009. I enjoy the colours and textures of individual stones, and especially like to work with rough cut tones which have their own character. There is a sense of drama when you see the light shining on a stone when you feel the heat it generates, that gives each piece, rough cut or polished, a life of its own. I go through stages where I can be quiet and sedate in the my jewellery, and then come outrageous and experimental. My greatest pleasure occurs when I walk up to a woman or admire her jewellery and discover that it is one of my pieces!

When you try to make one-of-a-kind statements, you can actually forget what you have done.”
