“Loraine Lamb Lalonde is a lifelong resident of the Chateauguay Valley, in Southwestern Quebec. Her home is in Ormstown, where she and her husband, Steve, run a poultry and organic cash crop farm.
Loraine is a graduate of Chateauguay Valley Regional High School, and studied fine arts at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, and Concordia University. She spent many years in the sign business, where she met Noella and Elaine. Through friendships formed during those years, she still takes part in mural projects all over the USA and Canada. These paintings are the next chapter in her artistic journey.
Using acrylic on linen or canvas, she paints what can best be described as architectural landscape. Her love of old signs, structures and vehicles evolved into a quest to capture them on canvas before they disappear.”
