“MiSun was born and grew up in Korea. She took jewellery design in college. Then she worked as an assistant director in a movie production company and also worked as an illustrator in an illustration company in Korea. She moved to Canada in 2003 and since then has been developing her painting. She likes painting things that are not real in reality but real in people’s imaginations such as emotions, humans’ deep thoughts, dreams, fantasies, etc. She uses acrylics, oils and watercolours. Illustrations, animations, abstracts are among her styles of paintings. MiSun and her husband opened a private gallery in Morrisburg in 2009 called ‘As One Gallery’. She regularly gives art lessons in her gallery and teaches a ‘Watercolour Course’ at St. Lawrence College in Brockville.
