"Annie Dumontier is a Canadian artist who graduated from the visual arts program at UQAM in 2006. She is known for creating whimsical portraits. With a passion for mixed media art, she creates evocative works that is characterized by feminine portraits in abstract backgrounds. Although the human representations are realistic, they seem to be surrounded by surreal elements. She draws inspiration from personal emotions and the nature that surrounds her to create her distinctive aesthetic. As well as practicing her art, Annie teaches visual arts in high school."
