Mary Mack is Cornwall’s art royalty, by birth, training and proficiency. She was a landscape artist who was a friend of A. Y. Jackson and others of the Group of Seven. Mary studied in Paris and exhibited in prestigious shows there. In Canada, Mary exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts to glowing reviews and her work was frequently featured in British Empire exhibitions throughout the Empire. In 1937, Mary was instrumental in forming the Cornwall Art Association which brought speakers, musicians and exhibits form the National Gallery of Canada to Cornwall. Over 4,000 school children visited the first exhibition."
