"My career as an artist began while a seaman aboard the C.S.S. Hudson in 1979, where I learned practice how to paint portraits of fishing boats while at the same time finish a diploma in Fine Art from The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. This turned into portraits of houses (Architectural Perspectivism), animals or whatever I could get as a commission. That has evolved into images following the tradition of Canadian Realism where subjects and situations are things to ponder on. Seldom disturbing and more often than not a thread of humour runs through them. My work is static entertainment to enhance spaces with charm, wit and story."
