"I draw the birds, plants and animals that I have encountered on more than 40 years of walking the trails of the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary. My favorite subjects are the Sanctuary’s birds and plants. Every walk I have taken at The Sanctuary’s has been spiced with the anticipation of a new adventure on the trail. On some rambles I see nothing new but on others I am surprised and amazed by a new wild encounter. Many of my illustrations have previously been published in the pages of Wildflower Magazine; Wild Earth Magazine; and other nature related newsletters. I am inspired by the illustrations that I find in the many old natural history books that I collect. My own, heavily illustrated book, Hooked On Nature, (2001) will be for sale at my exhibit site and I will donate all proceeds to the Friends Of The Sanctuary to support the excellent work they do at The Sanctuary."
