Brenda Miller Beaudette

"I think this Apples and Art Tour should be a really exciting one since many artists, myself included, haven’t been able to show their work for more than a year and in that time have probably taken some time to experiment with their mediums. In an effort to preserve my sanity, I started experimenting with more vibrant colours because I equate bright colours with joy and energy. The subject matter of my work in this year’s show will still focus on the simple things in life I enjoy – life at the cottage and on the farm. My hope is that visitors will see some humour in these pieces and be reminded that even in the midst or aftermath of a global pandemic, there is still joy and happiness to be found in everyday life.

I look forward to seeing you at The Grainery Studio! Situated on a century farm, the studio space is built in what was originally the grainery of the Beaudette homestead. It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth a jaunt out of town. I promise to have a hot (or cold) beverage and an apple from the orchard waiting for you.
