Cynthia Hum

"My name is Cynthia Hum and I am chumcreationsmosaic - creating works of art for more than 20 years. I start with an idea, a piece of wood, then draw a design and pick the colour of tile I am going to use. Then with a hammer and tile nippers I make the pieces fit into my design, sometimes they tell me where there are supposed to go, and affix each piece with cement. I then finish the piece off in various ways. I get a lot of my tile from 2nd hand places, trying to do my part in some of this unused tile from ending up in the landfill by making beautiful pieces of art out of them."
