Batik

"Batik is my true passion. This ancient art form, rooted in the intricate dance of dyes and wax resist, has been revitalized in the modern era with innovative products and techniques. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills and developed unique methods that bring fresh perspectives to this timeless craft. Batik painting offers endless opportunities for creative exploration, blending tradition with the excitement of experimentation.
My earliest awareness of art came during a childhood visit with my Aunt Mary, an accomplished artist who worked in various mediums. However, it wasn’t until 2003 that my interest in art was reignited. Attending monthly Art Walks in my community, where local artists showcased their work, gave me the chance to meet them and learn more about their styles. Inspired by these encounters, I took the opportunity to attend watercolour workshops, deepening my understanding of artistic techniques.
A few years later, this move led me to reconnect with my cousin Jenn—Aunt"
