Isabella Thompson

"Isabella Thompson is a beadwork artist based in Akwesasne QC/ON/NY, known for her creative Mohawk beadwork. Her interest in art was sparked since childhood through learning her culture, inspiring her to explore techniques and unique ideas in her work. Isabella has worked beside Niio Perkins for eight years, where she developed her raised beadwork technique. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the region and is held in private collections. Currently, she is working on a new series of beaded frames to assist the spark of her newly found medium of acrylic paint, inspired by antique beadwork and miniature paintings."
