"Laura Leah Lindeman’s lifelong commitment to art was nurtured by an inventive and creative family environment. Her father, a high school teacher with wide-ranging interests in art, music, science, theatre, and beyond, encouraged the curiosity and experimentation that shaped her early artistic path.
She studied at Sheridan College, the Ottawa School of Art, and Bishop’s University, building a foundation in drawing, painting, and sculpture. These experiences informed a distinctive practice that balances technical discipline with personal vision.
Her work brings together abstraction, realism, and illustration through escapist abstract landscapes, drip work, and discovered forms. By moving between the recognizable and the abstract, Laura invites viewers to engage with contrast, interpretation, and emotional resonance.
During Covid, her approach evolved through the series accompanied nature, created primarily between 2019 and 2022. Laura continues her search for truth by drawing & painting!"
