"Meaghan Cuggy is an artist from Glengarry, Ontario. Growing up in Green Valley, creativity was always celebrated and encouraged as her mother, Deirdre Cuggy is also an artist. Meaghan studied Art Education at Concordia University in Montreal. After graduating in 2006, she taught art practice and technique in both academic and community settings to students of many ages. While she continued to create, it wasn't until Meaghan moved back to the countryside, in the Eastern Townships of Québec, that she really reconnected to her own practice and fell in love with painting again. Working mainly in acrylics, Meaghan strives to capture and interpret fleeting moments of nature's grace and quirks and to celebrate their impermanence. Balancing vibrating energy and bright colour, the artist paints images of peace amid the constant flux of life."
