"I am continuously working on 3 main projects in my photography practice. Primarily, a 25 year project of various characters caught in questionable moments, leading the viewer to wonder what happened before, what will happen next; is she the victim or villain. These imagined stories, are created with different colored lighting to generate visual effects in darkened environments. The inspiration for each character is drawn upon the film noir femme fatale, as well as the exploration of the self through personas, imagined identities & art portraiture. Taken outdoors at night to obtain dark shadows. Second, a project of modern images combined with vintage film negatives to create untold stories. Third, night photographs of trees and flowers. I experiment with different types of lighting to create distorted effects in darkened environments which is inspired by chiaroscuro. I am the photographer, the model, set director & costume designer of all my images."
