Woodturning

"I have been woodturning for about 14 years and am primarily self-taught in the craft/art form. I constantly research and experiment with new techniques to expand my knowledge of woodturning and tree species.
I wood-turn hardwoods that I personally get from local arborists, friends or neighbors and customers across eastern Ontario. I use logs that have been harvested due to damage or disease as much as possible. Utilizing sustainably harvested or recycled wood helps me minimize the environmental impact of my work. Any offcuts or scrap pieces are used to make smaller items such as jewelry, toys, spatulas etc.
I believe that each piece of wood is unique with its own special personality. With each piece I create, I try to enhance the inner beauty of the wood."
